Luke Evans -the British actor you’ll remember as the baddie from Fast & Furious 6, or as the token human in The Hobbit– is getting a crack at becoming a Hollywood leading man. But before he gets there, he has to prove himself by starring as an immortal vampire in the upcoming Dracula Untold.

Despite all the dramatic smouldering he’s being asked to do, Evans does look every part the leading man in this trailer. In this revisionist take on the Dracula myth, Evans’ Romanian nobleman is driven to become a vampire so that he can protect his people.

In the preview, you may have heard Lorde’s cover of ‘Everybody Wants to Rule the World’, which itself was on the Hunger Games: Catching Fire soundtrack.

Directed by Irish first-timer Gary Shore, the film also stars Dominic Cooper, Samantha Barks from Les Miz, and Game of Thrones‘ Charles Dance.

‘Dracula Untold’ is in cinemas 3 October
