Yesterday we dropped some spiffing new character posters for the next installment of the Hobbit trilogy and now, mere hours later, we’re bringing you this: the longest look yet at Peter Jackson‘s next holiday video from Middle Earth. As promised, we get a glimpse of Lee Pace, Evangeline Lilly and Orlando Bloom as elves and a good look at Luke Evans’ Bard the Bowman: all of whom will factor into the next stage of Bilbo’s journey.
That’s one heck of a trailer: Benedict Cumberbatch sounds fantastic: his rumbling basso voice is perfect for the titular dragon. There’s a good chance this film could far exceed the somewhat disappointing film, An Unexpected Journey. Hopefully Jackson learned his lesson from the first film and doesn’t include a 40 minute scene where the dwarfs skin and slow-roast a calf in real-time.
