In Adore, the provocative new film out on blinkbox today, Robin Wright and Naomi Watts star as a pair of lifelong friends whose relationships are put to the flame when Watts’ adult son embarks on a physical relationship with Wright. As they soon find out, sex and friendship is a combustible combination, especially when mixed with an unhealthy dose of jealousy.
At a recent press junket, Academy Award nominee Naomi Watts spoke about her role in this controversial picture.
This powder keg drama is adapted from a Doris Lessing novella by Christopher Hampton, who is no stranger to sexual dramas as the playwright of Dangerous Liaisons. With supporting performances from breakout stars Ben Mendelsohn and Xavier Samuel, there’s definitely no shortage of talent on display here.
