Competition: Win an iPad Mini!

WarnerBros2_LargeNOTE: This competition is now closed

As Warner Bros. marks their 90th anniversary, we’re celebrating this incredible milestone by offering you the chance to win an iPad mini!

All you have to do is to guess all the movies from the single letters that we’ve taken from their posters in the graphic above. There are thirteen films in total (one for every letter in ‘HAPPY BIRTHDAY’) and each one of them is a Warner Bros. classic.

If you’re really stumped, you can click here for some extra clues.

Send your entries in to competitions@blinkbox.com by the end of Monday and you could be in with a chance to win. Good luck!

(Click here for terms and conditions)

Update (Friday, 3rd May — 15:43): Thanks for all your entries – we were very impressed by the sheer number of you that managed to work the answers out. We’ve contacted the winner already by email, so if your name is Hannah O, you may wish to  check your inbox.

For the rest of you, here are the answers:

H – Harry Potter (any of them)

A – The Matrix

P – Happy Feet

P – The Departed

Y – Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

B – Horrible Bosses

I – Inception

R – Argo

T – The Hobbit

H – The Shining

D – The Dark Knight

A – Goodfellas (That was Downton Abbey writer Julian Fellowes with a halo)

Y – The Bodyguard

If you want to win the iPad, you have to submit a complete entry to competitions@blinkbox.com.
I would not recommend anyone publish the answers on the comments board. It kind of negates the game :)

  2. Ben Melville says:

    Winner here!

  3. Lauren says:

  8. liz says:

loved the last one :) lol

finally got them all….fingers crossed they’re all right!

  9. Bob says:

The last ‘A’ isn’t the correct font

  10. Johnson says:

a Is the only one I need, the guy in the picture is “julian fellowes” – with a halo, so I thought “Good Fellowes > Goodfellas” > BUT the a is 100% not the a used as the Goodfellas logo/emblem… quite different… So i’m still stumped.

  11. superadmin says:

There is a small chance that certain posters may have changed font between cinematic release and DVD/VHS…

  12. Linda McGarrigle says:

OMG!! finally lol finally i think i have them all… wow that was quite difficult …aaaah! well fingers crossed and good luck everyone x

  13. cheekyricardo says:

Second P is killing me. Any clues?

  14. cheekyricardo says:

    Ah – got it…

  15. Cameron Standal says:

Julian Fellowes wearing a halo in front of Highclere Castle?
    Colour me baffled.

  16. San says:

That B on birthday, if it’s the obvious choice is not a classic and the colour is wrong

  17. Sonya says:

All done :) GL everyone, a great prize awaits :)

  18. Rhys says:

Julian fellows is easy-peasy. Once I remembered his name I had it right away. I call shenanigans on the orange Y, though. That is not representative of the font it’s meant to be from. Perhaps just a different release, I know, but still! Shenanigans!

  19. Will says:

Stuck on the first A, it’s got to be what I think it is but the font is very different.

The last two are brilliant. :)

  20. Lauren says:

Please someone give me a clue, I know it’s Julian Fellows but I’m stumped!

For movies that are trilogies etc, are we suposed to get the exact one?

  26. superadmin says:

If you name the franchise you’ll be alright

  27. DanP says:

If there are multiple versions of a film with slightly different names, the letter clue points to one, the cryptic image clue points to another which do we go for?

  28. Gillian says:

Hiiii! Can anyone give me a hint for the first A? I can’t figure what Brian May, a Rabbit, a Wand and Cards have to do with anything :-)
