We could live like Jack and Sally
This wasn’t MY favourite movie, btw – Caroline and Oli liked it the most.
Number 7 on our list is Tim Burtons Nightmare Before Christmas.
I did used to love it, but the monster that is Disney marketing managed to suck anything I loved out of it, while repackaging it, and selling more merch than you can shake a stick at to 14 year old semi goths who still like to spend their weekends shopping in camden, even though the stables doesn’t really exist anymore.
But back to the movie, and the way I felt about it before Pete Wentz got a sleeve.
It’s an amazing premise for anyone with a little bit of the macabre in their heart, the merging of Halloween and Christmas? Why, it’s genius.
Okay, I just rewatched a few scenes, and remembered that I do love it, and holidays are more important than hating marketing, I take it all back.
